New Mouth Rinse for Bad Breath Wins ADA Seal

For the first time ever, the American Dental Association has awarded the ADA Seal of acceptance to a mouth rinse for the treatment of oral malodor. Actually, two ClōSYS Alcohol-Free Oral Health Rinses were accepted by the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs in May after they were found to be safe and show efficacy in helping reduce bad breath when used as directed, according to a recent article from ADA News.

ClōSYS Alcohol-Free Oral Health Rinse is being marketed as “gentle oral care” is designed for sensitive mouths. The Unflavored and Gentle Mint varieties both earned the ADA Seal.

“As the ADA Seal of Acceptance program is well-established and well-respected symbol of excellence in dentistry, we are delighted to have ClōSYS  Unflavored Oral Rinse and ClōSYS Gentle Mint Oral Rinse be the first mouth rinses awarded the ADA Seal for the management of oral malodor,” said Rowpar Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the mouthwash makers. “Dental professionals and patients have a lot of products to choose from and this new ADA Seal helps dental professionals and the general public better understand the ClōSYS difference. We are honored and excited to receive this recognition.”

In 1931, the American Dental Association began the ADA Seal of Acceptance program. To this day, dentists and consumers recognize the Seal as the gold standard when it comes to evaluating the safety and effectiveness of dental products.
