Hundreds of thousands of people have been impacted by the devastating effects of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan last month. The American Dental Association is working hard to provide some relief and raise funds for the Japan Dental Association in order to help them recover dental services in damaged areas.
The funds collected by the ADA are being delivered to dental associations in affected areas of Japan so dentists can have support through the funds. The collective effort of the US dental community plans to go much further than individual donations which are so helpful. 100% of individual’s donations will help dentists in need in Japan. We’ve all seen the awful images in the papers, news and online and it’s encouraging to hear health care and oral care are not being overlooked.
According to their website, ADA has announced it will be contributing dollar for dollar up to $11,700 for all funds raised by the ADA. Your contributions will go twice as far. You can learn how to donate to the ADA by visiting their website. This effort is a great step towards restoring Japan as quickly as possible from these devastating effects. A variety of Miami dentists are doing what they can to make contributions to this effort.
